DUPATTA...

Dupatta – a woman thing, vastly known as odhani, chunri, chunar, orhna, pacheri and chunni signifies dignity, diversity, modesty, security, safety, love, care, style, sensuality, oomph and elegance of a woman. This 2.5 metres piece of cloth has versatility, myriad designs, mesmerizing colours and motifs  and gracious fabrics. Dupatta defines dignity of a woman…It is vivacious and carefree laughter of young lady…tinkling smile of a school girl… A plaything for a kid…An overwhelming dream  of a bride and retreat for lovers…Sometimes dupatta is outlined as hitch while sometimes it signifies liberty…The beauty and symbolism of dupatta has always made it glorious…

It has come a long way from being traditional and religious attire to a fashionable style statement.
